Allen & Heath SQ5+
Compact digital mixer with RackUltra FX effects, 17x fader
Allen & Heath expands the SQ series with the new SQ5+ model, a compact 48-channel digital mixer operating on a 96 kHz XCVI DSP core. The new generation brings higher DSP performance, integrated RackUltra FX processing and a redesigned user interface with a larger 9" touchscreen.

The SQ5+ is the most compact model of the new SQ+ series, but retains the complete processing and connectivity of the larger variants. There are 17 motorized 100mm faders, 8 programmable SoftKeys and six layers of channel strips. Thanks to the optional 19" rack kit, it is suitable for both mobile applications and fixed installations.

What is new compared to the previous generation are four integrated RackUltra FX engines with dedicated stereo sends and returns. The system offers effects originally developed for the dLive platform including reverbs, vocal tuning, pitch processors and saturation processing. Eight RackExtra FX engines are available at the same time.

The SQ5+ uses the 96kHz XCVI core with ultra-low latency and supports DEEP Processing add-ons directly in the channel strip without additional latency. Each input channel offers HPF, gate with sidechain and filter, 4-band parametric EQ with RTA, insert point and Peak/RMS compressor. The mixers have parametric and 28-band graphic EQ and compressor.

The equipment includes a 128x128 Intelligent SLink port for connecting to stageboxes and other Allen & Heath devices, a slot for expansion Dante, Waves, MADI or SLink cards and a USB interface for multitrack recording and playback. Direct recording is also possible via the integrated SQ-Drive without the need for a computer.
