Arturia KeyStep Pro Black Edition — Polyphonic Sequencing Controller

The Arturia KeyStep Pro Black Edition is a 37-key velocity-sensitive slim-key controller keyboard with aftertouch, built to sequence hardware synths, modular rigs, and software instruments from one desktop unit. Four polyphonic sequencer tracks and a 24-part drum sequencer replace a stack of separate devices in a hybrid rig.

The integrated metronome with a built-in piezo speaker and dedicated line output is rare on a sequencer at this tier, giving players a click track without extra gear. The 24-part drum sequencer supports polyrhythms via per-track lengths, while four CV/Gate/Mod outputs handle polyphonic Eurorack voice control from a single source.

Sequencer architecture and pattern workflow

Each of the four tracks stores 16 patterns, each pattern runs up to 64 steps, and every step can hold up to 16 notes for chord-style sequences. Patterns chain into songs and group into scenes for instant switching between sections of a live set.
