Christopher Anton Rea is a British rock and blues singer-songwriter and guitarist from Middlesbrough, born on 4 March 1951. Renowned for his distinctive voice and slide guitar style, Rea has released twenty-five studio albums, with "The Road to Hell" and "Auberge" reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart. He became a prominent figure in Europe before breaking into the UK Top 10 with the hit single "The Road to Hell Part 2". His best-known songs include "Fool If You Think It's Over", "On the Beach", "Driving Home for Christmas", and "Josephine". Rea collaborated with Elton John on "If You Were Me" and received three Brit Award nominations for Best British Male Artist. While he has never toured the United States, his early single "Fool If You Think It's Over" was a major US hit and earned him a Grammy nomination. Throughout his career, Rea has sold over forty million records worldwide.
