Cort CR100-BK — Vintage Rock Tone, Modern Build

Cort CR100-BK is a single-cut electric guitar designed to deliver the look, feel and performance of the much sought-after vintage instruments from the Golden Era of electric guitars. Built around a single-cutaway mahogany body with a carved arched top, this model brings the silhouette that has defined rock tone for decades. Players looking for a Les Paul-style instrument will find a serious contender here.

Classic Design, Modern Reliability

Design features a single cutaway body with a carved arched top — shorthand for rock authority. The manufacturer pairs this with Powersound PSLP-1F and PSLP-1R humbuckers for thick humbucker punch. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece provides enhanced sustain and accurate intonation.

Mahogany Body & Bolt-On Construction — Rock-Solid Foundation

Body and neck joint is the foundation of any electric guitar's voice. This instrument uses a mahogany body with a carved arched top — the time-tested recipe for thick humbucker response. A bolt-on maple neck keeps the attack articulate.

• Body Material: Mahogany — dense tonewood that anchors humbucker response with warmth and weight
• Construction: Bolt-on — bright attack and clear note definition
• Polished black finish provides a high-gloss surface that highlights the carved top contour.

Maple Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard — Familiar Feel

Neck profile and fingerboard radius decide how a guitar feels. This model pairs a hard maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard in a 12" radius — comfortable for chord work and lead playing. Twenty-two frets and a 628 mm scale give access high up the neck.

• Neck Material: Maple — bright, stable tonewood with a smooth playing surface
• Fingerboard Material: Rosewood — warm feel under the fingers with traditional looks
• Scale Length: 628 mm — the classic Les Paul scale for loose, singing bends
• Twenty-two frets with a 305 mm fingerboard radius — full two-octave range on the high strings with a comfortable modern curve

Powersound Humbuckers & Tune-O-Matic Hardware — Stage-Ready

The unit features Powersound humbuckers in an H-H configuration, wired through a 2-volume, 2-tone, 3-way switch layout. Die-cast tuners and a Tune-O-Matic bridge keep tuning stable through heavy playing.

• Pickups Configuration: HH (Powersound PSLP-1F & PSLP-1R) — full humbucker punch with vintage rock voicing
• Electronics: 2 Volume, 2 Tone, 3-Way Switch — independent control over each pickup
• Bridge: Tune-O-Matic with Stop Tailpiece — accurate intonation and strong sustain
• Tuning Machines: Die-cast — stable tuning through aggressive playing
• Nickel hardware and D'Addario EXL110 strings (.046–.010) — traditional look and light-gauge feel for easy bending

Who Should Play This Model

This model is built for rock players who want humbucker tone and single-cut feel. Beginners stepping up from acoustic will find a forgiving neck profile and familiar body shape. Intermediate players will appreciate the Tune-O-Matic stability and thick mahogany response.
