FKA twigs, born Tahliah Debrett Barnett in 1988, is an English singer, songwriter, producer, and dancer known for her innovative and genre-blending music. Beginning as a backup dancer, she launched her own career with EP1 in 2012. Her critically acclaimed debut album LP1 followed in 2014, earning a Mercury Prize nomination. After the bold EP M3LL155X and a brief hiatus, she returned with the acclaimed album Magdalene in 2019. In 2022, she released the mixtape Caprisongs after joining Atlantic Records, and her third album, Eusexua, arrived in 2025. Drawing on electronic, R and B, trip hop, hyperpop, and avant-garde influences, FKA twigs is celebrated for her boundary-pushing artistry.
