Kali Audio IN-5 W — 3-Way Coaxial Studio Monitor

The Kali Audio IN-5 W is a 3-way active near-field studio monitor featuring a coaxial assembly that positions a 25 mm textile-dome tweeter at the acoustic center of a 102 mm optimized-profile midrange. This concentric configuration delivers uniform directivity for locked-in stereo imaging. Handling low frequencies is a separate 127 mm woofer, crossed over at 280 Hz.

Coaxial Architecture and Low-Noise Amplification

What sets this model apart from most 2-way designs is its dedicated midrange driver, relieving the woofer and tweeter from reproducing the vocal range. With the coaxial geometry, the midrange cone serves as the waveguide for the tweeter. A newly designed Class D amplifier supplies 160 W of tri-amplified power, reducing self-noise by about 12 dB compared to the IN-8.
