Manfred Mann was an English rock band formed in London in 1962, named after their keyboardist Manfred Mann. Known for energetic performances and a string of chart hits, they emerged as a key group in the 1960s Swinging London scene. With Paul Jones and later Mike d'Abo as lead vocalists, the band included notable musicians such as Mike Hugg, Mike Vickers, Tom McGuinness, Jack Bruce, and Klaus Voormann. They found major success with hits including 5-4-3-2-1, Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Pretty Flamingo, and Mighty Quinn, becoming one of the first bands from southern England to top the US charts during the British Invasion.
