NSYNC was an American pop vocal group and boy band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 by Chris Kirkpatrick. The lineup included Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Justin Timberlake, and Lance Bass. Initially launched in Germany, NSYNC found international success with their debut album in Europe in 1997 before breaking into the US charts with "I Want You Back." The band became global pop icons with their third album, No Strings Attached, which broke sales records by selling over 2.4 million copies in its first week in 2000. Hits like "Bye Bye Bye," "It's Gonna Be Me," and "Tearin' Up My Heart" dominated charts worldwide.
