At the end of the 19th century Gustave Sennelier recognised the need to produce colours that only contained the highest quality pigments. This tradition and respect for materials is still upheld by Sennelier today. With over 125 years of experience Sennelier are one of the world’s most respected fine art brands. Each pastel is composed of high quality pure pigment and a natural transparent binder. The exceptional brightness is the result of exclusive recipe. Their comfortable handling and large contact surface allow large areas to be covered with a high degree of regularity.

Each half stick pastel measures 1¼" long × ½" in diameter (32 mm × 13 mm). Unwrapped in a slightly larger, squared shape to prevent breakage. Pastel sets are packaged with a snug-fitting foam insert that protects each half-stick. Half size is practical for students and traveling artists and allows you to create a richer collection of different shades.
