Nektar Impact LX Mini — Portable 25-Key USB MIDI Controller

The Nektar Impact LX Mini is a compact USB MIDI controller built for portable production and tight DAW control. It pairs 25 velocity-sensitive mini keys, 8 pads, 8 knobs, a 4-way joystick, and 7 transport buttons with pre-mapped DAW integration for Bitwig, Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live, Studio One, and Reason. Power is supplied solely via USB bus.

What Sets this model Apart in the Mini-Controller Class

Two features rarely appear together on a 25-key controller: a dedicated footswitch input and dual independent arpeggiator engines. The 3.5 mm footswitch socket (with adapter) accepts a sustain pedal. These arpeggiator/note-repeat engines run separately for keys and pads, with rate, swing, accent, interval, tempo, mode, and octave available on the 8 knobs.

Keybed, Pads, and Pitch Control — Performance Surface

The playing surface combines a velocity-sensitive mini keybed, a pad bank, and a 4-way joystick.

• The keys feature a 25 velocity-sensitive mini keybed spanning two octaves with 4 velocity curves plus 3 fixed values.
• Pads: 8 velocity-sensitive pads across 4 pad maps — 32 note/CC slots
• Pitch Bend: 4-way joystick — left/right for pitch bend, up/down for modulation and foot-pedal CCs

Knobs, Transport, and Connectivity — Hands-On Control

Beyond the keys and pads, the instrument exposes assignable knobs, transport buttons, and a side-mounted connection panel.

• Control Knobs: 8 pots (doubled to 16 via Page button) plus a large volume pot
• Transport: 7 transport buttons (14 with Shift, 21 with DAW Integration) — pre-mapped for play, stop, record, loop, click, and track navigation
• Footswitch Input: 3.5 mm mini jack with 1/4" adapter included

DAW Integration, Power, and Package Contents — System Compatibility

Class-compliant USB means the controller works on macOS, Windows, and iOS without a driver, while DAW integration adds pre-mapped transport, mixer, and instrument control.

• USB: Class-compliant, 100 mA bus power, no battery required
• DAW Integration: Pre-mapped for Bitwig, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reason, Reaper, FL Studio, GarageBand, plus Pro Tools template
