Church of Misery is a doom metal band from Tokyo, Japan, formed in 1995. Their sound fuses heavy, Black Sabbath-inspired riffs with elements of psychedelic rock. Known for their dark lyrical themes, most of their songs are centered around serial killers and mass murderers. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, bassist Tatsu Mikami has remained the driving force behind the band.
