Fat Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena on August 19, 1970, is an influential American rapper from New York. He began his career as part of the Diggin' in the Crates Crew in the early 1990s before launching a solo path with his debut album Represent. He later founded Terror Squad, a group and label that helped introduce artists like Big Pun, Remy Ma, and producers DJ Khaled and Cool and Dre. Fat Joe’s biggest hits include Flow Joe, What's Luv with Ja Rule and Ashanti, Lean Back with Terror Squad, Make It Rain with Lil Wayne, and All the Way Up with Remy Ma and French Montana. Beyond music, he has also appeared in films such as Scary Movie 3, Happy Feet, and the Netflix series She's Gotta Have It.
