Larkin Poe is an American roots rock band formed by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell from north Georgia, now based in Nashville, Tennessee. Renowned for their powerful southern harmonies, gritty electric guitar work, and slide guitar, the duo draws inspiration from classic southern rock, often earning comparisons to the Allman Brothers. Their energetic live shows and strong musicianship have brought them acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.
Originally part of the acoustic act the Lovell Sisters with their elder sister Jessica, Rebecca and Megan formed Larkin Poe in 2010, naming the band after an ancestor linked to Edgar Allan Poe. Early releases included several EPs and collaborative projects before their 2014 debut album Kin. Notable highlights in their career include working with producer T Bone Burnett on the New Basement Tapes and memorable performances at Glastonbury Festival, where they were named Best Discovery in 2014 by The Observer.
The band’s discography showcases albums like Peach, the Grammy-nominated Venom and Faith, Self Made Man, and the covers collection Kindred Spirits. Blood Harmony, released in 2022, earned them the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. In 2025, Larkin Poe continued to push their sound with the release of Bloom, further cementing their place in modern Americana and blues rock.
