The Levenhuk D90L LCD Digital Microscope is a biological microscope with a 2MP digital camera. It does not have a standard eyepiece tube: it is replaced with an LCD screen, which is much more convenient to use for lengthy observations. The image is transmitted to the screen from the objective in real-time mode. In addition, there is a photo and video recording option. The microscope is suitable for conducting microbiological research as well as for creating digital archives of observations.

The head can be rotated 360°. On the head, there are control buttons for operating the digital camera, slots for connecting external devices, and a memory card slot. The objectives are already installed in the revolving nosepiece: these are achromatic objectives with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x magnification. The 40x and 100x objectives have spring-loaded frames that protect the front lens from accidental damage. The 100x objective is used for oil immersion.

Under a revolving nosepiece, there is a stage with a mechanical scale. Below, there is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. Underneath, there is a lighting unit consisting of an LED light with a collector. The lighting is powered by an AC power supply, and its brightness is adjustable.

All of the optical elements in the microscope are made of glass. The body is made of metal.
