When the Prometheus was designed, it was just the beginning of a journey to find the perfect tone.

Literally hundreds of different speakers were tested, and while it sounded great with most, there was a desire to offer a unique take on what a guitar speaker should sound like! Through friends at Hiwatt, contact was made with legendary UK speaker manufacturer Fane Acoustics, who were not only up to the task but embarked on this journey together. The desired characteristics were discussed, and they delivered the perfect match for the Prometheus: the LCFR-150!

With its big, yet very stable low end that extends all the way down to 55Hz in the right cabinet and a resonance peak at 65Hz that turns palm mutes into hammer blows rivaling Hephaistos himself, this speaker is perfect for low-tuned guitars: modern or vintage, Djent or Doom - this speaker is sure to shake the walls of any venue, studio, and rehearsal room alike. A power rating of 150W ensures plenty of headroom in smaller cabinets as well!

A cone and dust cap design without doping was chosen, creating a unique tone that brings shimmering highs without ever getting ear-piercing. This design also offers huge advantages with clean guitars: shimmering highs that evoke the illusion of an acoustic 12-string playing along!

The LCFR-150 is not a recreation of tried and true standards of modern music but a bold attempt to conquer its own place in the speaker world: deep low end, a complex mid-voicing with lots of growl, and the unique highs that Fane speakers are famous for!
