Myles Kennedy, born Myles Richard Bass in 1969, is an acclaimed American singer, guitarist, and songwriter known as the frontman and rhythm guitarist for Alter Bridge and Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Raised in Idaho and Spokane, he studied music theory before launching his career in the early 1990s. Kennedy’s early work includes time with the jazz group Cosmic Dust and the rock bands Citizen Swing and The Mayfield Four. Since joining Alter Bridge in 2004, he has released seven albums with the group. Kennedy’s collaborations also feature work with Slash, resulting in four studio albums, as well as contributions to Slash’s solo projects. His solo career has produced three albums, including Year of the Tiger, The Ides of March, and The Art of Letting Go. Recognized for his versatile voice and musicianship, Kennedy remains an influential figure in modern rock.
