Them was a Northern Irish rock band formed in Belfast in April 1964, best known for their garage rock classic "Gloria" and for launching Van Morrison’s career. The original lineup included Morrison, Alan Henderson, Ronnie Milling, Billy Harrison, and Eric Wrixon. Them had notable hits in the UK with "Baby, Please Don't Go" and "Here Comes the Night," while "Mystic Eyes" also found success in the US. Though they had a brief run and few chart hits, their raw sound significantly influenced later bands like the Doors. After Morrison left in 1966, he became a successful solo artist. "Gloria" remains a rock standard, earning a place in the Grammy Hall of Fame and high rankings in major music lists.
