Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, better known as XXXTentacion, was an American rapper and singer-songwriter born in 1998 in Florida. Emerging from the SoundCloud rap scene in the mid-2010s, he became known for his emotionally charged music that explored themes of depression and alienation. XXXTentacion was a key figure in shaping the emo rap genre, blending elements of trap, punk rock, indie, and metal into his sound. He first attracted major attention with his 2016 hit "Look at Me!" and achieved commercial success with his albums 17 and ?. His single "Sad!" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and received diamond certification. Despite his musical versatility and massive following, his career was marked by controversy and legal issues. XXXTentacion was killed in a robbery in 2018 at the age of 20. Following his death, he received numerous awards and nominations, and two posthumous albums, Skins and Bad Vibes Forever, were released.
