Years and Years was an English electropop band from London, formed in 2010. The group gained widespread attention with the hit single King in 2015, which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and became an international success. Their debut album Communion also topped the UK Albums Chart and included the popular single Shine. In 2018, they released the album Palo Santo, featuring singles like Sanctify and If You’re Over Me, both of which reached the UK top ten. By 2021, Years and Years became the solo project of lead singer Olly Alexander, who released the number one album Night Call in 2022. In 2023, Alexander retired the Years and Years name and continued under his own name, later confirming the project’s end. The band received numerous awards and six Brit Award nominations during their career.
