Recognized as a key figure in the early cloud rap movement, he first gained attention in 2013 when his track Ginseng Strip 2002 became a viral sensation. He followed this with the influential mixtape Unknown Death 2002 and his debut album Unknown Memory. Yung Lean's experimental style is reflected in later releases such as the albums Warlord, Stranger, Starz, Psykos, and Jonatan, along with mixtapes like Frost God, Poison Ivy, and Stardust.
